At this complex time, we would like to update you about the latest news here at Musicians of Tomorrow.
We had our first public concert since March 2020 last week. The “Children Play to Children” concert was held in the historic and impressive Rosh Pina Cinematheque, the only one if its kind in the Galilee.
The concert opened with Vivaldi’s Concerto Grosso in D Minor and Haydn’s Serenade. Noga Ezras and Valery Oleynikov (who recently joined us) performed Hubert’s Concerto for Two Violins, and our much loved young pianist Manya Swissa graced us with a moving performance of Schumann’s Variations in E Flat. Several children from our project with the Acco Conservatoire joined us to play the famous introduction to The Thousand Nights and a Night by Umm Kulthum.
Since the beginning of the school year, we have added Erez (alumnus, cello) and Manya (piano) part time to our teaching staff, enabling us to grow our student base.
We are proud to have received a unique invitation to perform to the Friends of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert will take place on Friday December 31st as part of a three-day concert series in the Galilee.
Thank you so much for being with us.
